I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by fellow blogger H@rdip. Check him out. Thank you, love. I actually had to dig around to see what this was. It appears to be a blogging community way of saying “Hello. I like your blog.” and, the logo & questions change from blog to blog.
This is how it works…
- Thank the blogger that nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions asked of you.
- Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 questions.
- List the rules and include the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post.
My answers to H@rdip’s questions:
- Why did you start the blog?
- Do you have any long-term goals for your blog. If yes, what are they?
- What is your favorite pastime and why?
- What is your number one go-to movie and why?
This blog is my third attempt to share. My first one was started in 2008 (I told you 2010 but, remembered, later, that it was earlier) and was pretty much all political. I’m not a political animal anymore…grew out of it. My second blog was about yoga and the 2012 event. It didn’t last long and I don’t even remember the name of it.
I’m at the age that I view long-term goals as mere suggestions…for blogs or anything else. Living in the moment, instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, is a much easier place to be. That being said, I like to write, take pictures and “observe” my world. Sometimes, I share my thoughts and if my perspective helps someone, so much the better.
Reading. I am voracious reader as I am curious about damn near everything.
OY. That is a tough question. I love many, many movies. I can list five movies that I could watch over and over, again (and have, many times):
- The Ghost & Mrs. Muir…because love transcends life & death.
- The Wizard of Oz…because there is no place like home (and everyone should visit this place: Land of Oz).
- Grease…because it came out when I was a “tween” and I was a screaming Olivia Newton-John fan. And, high school should be that much fun.
- Oblivion…because love transcends life, death & DNA.
“I’ll tell you one thing about the universe, though. The universe is a pretty big place. It’s bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it’s just us… seems like an awful waste of space. Right?”
“Hey, hey, I wanna be a rock star…”
Chris Thomas. There is a reason I maintain a page for him.
That’s not a question and I’m not good at giving advice. I will encourage any blogger to express themselves in whatever way suits them. Everyone has likes & dislikes. Everyone has an opinion. It is innately human to want to share.
I love all genres of music…some more than others. I can say that I prefer my music analog. Digital has no soul.
A nineteen year old man that took a round in the left shoulder and died of disease in WWI.
Synthesis from Chris Thomas…because it was his last book and a wonderful synopsis of his previous work. I would encourage anyone to read it and his 10 earlier books. You will need a very open mind, tho…
Up until my nomination, I had never heard of it. It is kind of H@rdip to nominate me. I hope I continue to provide positive things for all who stop here.
Unfortunately, after all that, I can’t come up with 11 other bloggers to nominate as I just returned to the blogosphere, myself, just two short weeks ago. I have been absent for nearly four years.
I do like these few blogs and I will notify them of my reading affection. But, I haven’t been here long enough to properly “nominate & ask questions”. I will leave it entirely up to them if they wish to proceed:
Harsh Reality…for shining light into his own world.
The Darkest Tunnel…for shining light into her chaos.
Little Fears…for shining light on what might scare us.
Mani…for lighting a new candle.
James Radcliffe…for starting a fire.
